Installation for video art
A housing for the video installation “Singularity” by media artist Michael Najjar was designed and developed according to serial product requirements.
The hardware such as flat screen, computer and loudspeakers – each packed in its own housing – connected via tubes made of metal mesh – became elements of design in their own right. The body is made of highly transparent acrylic glass, the side edges of which are covered with black perforated sheet metal. As an industrially manufactured product, this housing serves its inherent artwork and itself becomes part of the entire installation, which is produced in small series for museums, galleries and collectors.
