Car Roof Box Fosco
IONDESIGN creates the new product line “Fosco” for the manufacturer of car roof boxes based in Wolfsburg. The starting point for the design of this product development is also the user perspective, which makes it possible to optimize the roof box through improved ergonomics and safety.
In this product development, it is the basis to create a better roof box. In the development of “Fosco”, the focus was put on comfort, usability and safety. The frontal overlap of the lid over the base, the “overbite”, provides more stability and crash safety. The shape follows the function, the dynamic look follows the appearance of today’s cars.
The roof box ‘Fosco 540’ was made ready for series production in just one year. At the Automechanika 2018, the new product was nominated for the “Innovation Award” and is winner of the iF design award 2019.
