SIS – Small Injection System
The ergonomic SIS (Small Injection System) can be operated with one hand and thus enables significantly longer application times. The medical technology product is made of plastic using injection molding and has proven itself in practice.
The design focuses on the increased benefit: the ergonomic quality of the product facilitates the treatment of vertebral injuries and makes the product ideal for handling – for which it was awarded the Brandenburg Design Prize and the ID_Berlin Award.
IONDESIGN designed an application system for vertebroplasty for Somatex Medical Technologies GmbH. This is a minimally invasive procedure that re-stabilizes damaged vertebral bodies in such a way that patients suffering from constant pain due to osteoporosis or tumor damage become pain-free in a very short time.
