Design for public spaces must meet several criteria: create recognizable benefits for citizens and visitors to the city, incorporate the logistics of the operators, create a relationship with the respective location, generate value and sustainability. The city’s furnishings should be character-building and long-lasting. In view of our cities, it is clear that it is worth pursuing these major and challenging tasks on an ongoing basis. IONDESIGN has been developing projects for public spaces since 1998.
